ITIL® V3 Credit Profiler

The ITIL® V3 Qualification Scheme (pdf) uses a credit system to reach the highest level and earn the title ITIL Expert. Credits can be accumulated by successfully completing a balanced selection of ITIL® V3 exams, or through a combination of version 2 and version 3 exams. A minimum of 22 credits is needed to achieve Expert certification in IT Service Management.

The ITIL® Official Site has introduced a new Credit Profiler which will help you navigate the new qualification scheme. By entering in the exams you have already completed, you can find out what is needed to reach the ITIL Expert level.

In order to achieve a good understanding of ITIL principles and to earn sufficient credits, it is strongly advised that V3 certifications you pursue are complementary to certifications that you have already completed.
