EXIN Exams, International certification for ITIL, ASL and DSDM standards

ISO/IEC 20000 on the rise

1.2.2008

EXIN and TÜV SÜD Akademie are jointly developing a new, multi-level qualification program: IT Service Management according to ISO/IEC 20000, designed for a wide variety of staff involved in IT service provision.

The international ISO/IEC 20000 standard testifies to a company's IT service quality level. ISO/IEC 20000 specifies the practical procedures an organization should follow to improve the quality of its IT Service Management processes. There is major demand for certified IT professionals in this field.

The new qualification program consists of a Foundation exam, Professional exams, and two tracks. The first track is targeted at IT Management and the second at Auditing. The program is perfectly suited for IT professionals already experienced in other successful standards and best practices, such as ITIL®, MOF, COBIT, ISO 9000, CMMI and ASL.

Foundation exam now available
We are pleased that the first exam, ISO/IEC 20000 Foundation is now available after a successful pilot phase. This exam consists of approximately 75% of its predecessor's course content, Service Quality Management Foundation (SQMF) which will be discontinued as of March 01, 2008. Service Quality Management Advanced (SQMA) will be discontinued as of July 01, 2008. SQMF and SQMA will count as exemptions for Foundation and Professional levels respectively.
