ISO/IEC 20000: the compass to guide your path in the best practice universe
This is the full title of the contribution by EXIN’s regional manager from Spain Luis Miguel Rosa Nieto and the international accountmanager Alejandro Debenedet, to the new published book titled IT Service Management Global Best Practices.
 
The article (pdf) provides an overview of the ISO/IEC 20000 standard for IT Service Management in the past, present and future and shows us how to approach an ISO/IEC 20000 implementation project. The authors also emphasize the value of independent certification for employees who are involved in the delivery of IT services in compliance with ISO/IEC 20000.
 
The new book, in which this article is included is titled IT Service Management Global Best Practices Volume 1 (2008). The book consists of 33 articles that are clustered in chapters. The articles provide detailed and practical guidance on specific ITSM topics. The articles contain the expertise of a large number of experts from all over the world.
